Sophia's first American Thanksgiving was this year in Maine with her grandpa Phil, Uncle Joe and Jonah and I. We stayed cozy watching as a storm brewed over the ocean from the bay window in Phil's cottage. We tried to decide between a traditional Thanksgiving meal or an alternative fresh lobster meal...Jonah's youngest brother Joe insisted on tradition and honestly we would have missed out if we hadn't given in to his request. Phil cooked an amazing turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, steamed asparagus and cranberry sauce. We finished off with cherry pie and pumpkin pie. We spent the day watching football and playing trivia pursuit. Today we will have the lobster dinner, have our cake and eat it too...Pray for our health, Sophia and I are battling colds, her first cold ever.
I miss Sofia! I'm going to fly out to see her and give her a special stare for Christmas.

Special Mouse-so good to hear you are ok and you and Sophia will be reunited soon...your absense is upsetting although be warned a new aquaintance has been made with a one Special Cat with similar stary eyes to your own. I do not know your previous relationship with Special Cat but thought a mention of his presence would be wise.

I had a thanksgiving dinner last Thursday night with other people from my church (pastors are from the US) and it was pretty darn fabulous (pastor's wife is amzing cook) - your Thanksgiving sounds very stormy and romantic
