Today is a new day and I feel energized. My baby slept well last night and so did I. We set up her new crib yesterday. Until now she has been sleeping by my side in our bed. Which has been working well for easy feedings at night. But she has been having a very hard time getting to sleep at the start of the night. Often not getting to sleep until 3 in the morning. Last night we tried the new crib and a few other changes that I think helped her to get to sleep easier and have a better time through the night. I got the best sleep I've had in a while and feel the best I've felt in a while. Although still only slept 5 hours, fed and changed her, then slept another 2 hours until starting the new day. But it is the best I've had since she was born. I think having her own crib helps her to have better boundaries as to when it is time to sleep and when it is time to play. I have improvised a little play area in her crib to hang over her for play time. It is easily detachable so she doesn't get play time confused with sleeping time. It would be nice to have a mobile with music for over her bed but we don't have money for that right now. Sometimes our low income lifestyle gets really annoying when we can't buy the things that we think we need right away and have to wait or make do with what we have. But then other times it is a blessing to find other ways to make things work.
Hi Heather.
She's got her own crib? She'll be moving out before you know it.
Enjoying the little peeks into your lives. Love and peace
